Community commemoration
On Thursday 11th July, the community joined together with the school to commemorate 75 years since the bombing in Clatford. It was a beautiful afternoon with information supplied by the village, mixed together with work from each year group across the school. Children from year One were participating in an evacuees day. They performed a beautiful song and dance, and the smell of spam sandwiches wafted through the school....triggering many memories! Years 2 and 6 then encouraged the community to join them for a rendition of We'll Meet again, along with other war time favourites. We hope that the community will be able to join us soon for many more stories and of course another slice of cake!
