Sprouts, Sprouts and More Sprouts

In Year One English, in the lead up to Christmas, they have used the video “Sprout Boy” to inspire their writing. This week they've watched the video and have been considering the vocabulary choices and learning about rhyme.

Today they had the chance to taste sprouts, to decide whether their poem would be about loving sprouts or hating them! The children were brilliant and nearly all of them tried a sprout, some of them didn't enjoy them but many of them were surprised when they liked them and even went back for a second!
