    4th September 2025

    Dear Parents and carers,

Welcome back! I hope you all had a restful Summer and would like to welcome you back to Clatford. It was brilliant to see everyone at the gate this morning and the children seem to have made an enthusiastic and happy start back today.

This morning in our worship we talked about all the things we aspired to achieve in our new year groups. It was really clear the children were ready and keen to make their most of a fresh term at school.

    Lost Property Container

In the coming days you will see a black container appear outside school by the notice board. This will be filled with any un-named lost property we find to make it easier for you to reconnect with your child’s mislaid belongings.

    Mr Deery

Mr. Deery officially starts his Clatford journey in Year 4 today and he tells me the children have been making him feel incredibly welcome. He is already making a fantastic addition to our Clatford team.

    Home Visits

Mrs Carr and Mrs Deery are out and about today doing home visits for our new Year Rs, ready for them to join from Monday morning. Mrs. Jordan officially begins her maternity leave this week and I know that you will join me in wishing her the best.

    Phonics and Spellings

Although the children have phonics and spellings lessons tomorrow as usual, the children won’t be going home with their phonics books until next Friday. As usual, I would like to make a plea for any books that are at home anywhere from before the Summer be quickly returned. We are only able to buy them in packs of 10, so if one goes missing, we either need buy 10 more books, or ask the children to share or take turns. This can get quite expensive, so please do what you can to return any you find.

After School Clubs – Autumn Term

Just a reminder that clubs commence next week apart from Singing club which commences Thursday 25th September.
