Dear Parents and carers,

 

I am writing to you all a day earlier than usual as I have a few pieces of news I wish to share.

 

A huge congratulations to Mrs. Woodman who is now expecting her second child. I know you will all join me in wishing her well. I am intending to recruit a new teacher to cover her maternity leave later in the year.

 

As you know, Miss Finn will be leaving us at the end of the Summer Term. Yesterday, we interviewed several candidates, and we were successful in recruiting Mr. Deery to join our teaching team in September.

 

A thank you the Mental Health Support Team, who are doing lots for the school at the moment including delivering some sessions to our Year 5 children and providing training to our school staff this week.

 

Please remember that tomorrow is our PTA bake-sale and non-uniform day. Please see the PTA additional information attached.

 

Music afternoon was a fantastic event, and it was great to see everyone having a chance to share their talent. This year we were lucky enough to be joined by some John Hanson students, who performed as well as some of our parents, grandparents and ex-pupils. It was an inspiring afternoon and the John Hanson deputy headteacher commented that she was impressed by our children’s enthusiasm for playing instruments and singing together. She noted that everyone joined in when it came to music at Clatford School.
