    4th April 2025

    Dear Parents and carers,

I have added a few dates to the diary with this week’s newsletter, so please scan through them and add any relevant ones to your own calendars.

    Dolce Dinners

This is the last call to remind everyone to become familiar with the Dolce dinners system and be ready to order your meals for the first day back! Please make sure you register if your child would like a school lunch.

Please note that there will no longer be a snack bar at morning break. Please make sure you provide your child with a snack.

    School Car Park

Please could you keep the children away from the staff car park in the mornings. There have been some children playing in amongst the cars, and even children picking up and throwing stones in this area. Could I please ask you to support us in keeping children safe, by ensuring they are waiting by the front of the school green gates and not in the car park. Thank you!

    Easter Experience

Easter is actually closer to the Summer term than the Spring term this year, so on the first week back to school we are taking children to church for an Easter Experience. If anyone would like to walk through the Easter Experience at St. Peter’s church, it will still be open after school for you to enjoy along with your children. I have attached an Easter activity and prayer you may wish to consider sharing with your children over the break.

    Dandelion Day

As part of the ‘Month of the Military Child’ campaign, we will be holding a Dandelion Day on Wednesday 23rd April. The aim of this will be to raise awareness of the experience of military children and families within our community. We would like to invite all children to attend school wearing a splash of yellow on that day as part of this celebration.

    Bikeability

Well done to Year 6 for completing their bikeability today. It was great to see them learning to cycle safely on the roads and develop their sense of self-awareness and personal safety. The children will be coming home today with their certificates and badges.

    PTA

Thanks to everyone who attended the quiz last week. I was pleased at how many people came to support this event and I thought everyone did very well with answering the questions. Next up from the PTA is the jumble sale on Saturday 26th of April.

Wishing you all a restful Easter break.

    Mr M Kirk
