Dear Parents and Carers,

This week at school we have continued learning about respect, and how we show it in our words and actions. We have been talking about how respect is a way of demonstrating that someone matters.

 

Sleeper Area

Over the last few weeks we have been having work done on our sleeper area in the playground. Around 90 sleepers have been removed and replaced with recycled-plastic sleepers. We have installed a new bench and a new planting area on one of the slopes. It is all looking very fresh.

 

 

Reading Ambassadors

Our reading ambassadors met Mrs. Coles this week and they had some brilliant ideas for ways that we could celebrate reading on World Book Day. I don’t want to give too much away as I know they will want to share the ideas themselves, but I do want to thank our reading ambassadors for their hard work and planning this week.

 

Volunteers

A big shout out to our dedicated volunteers who help at the school to support a class or hear children read. With around thirty children in each class, it is difficult to hear pupils read as often as we would like and so the time that all our volunteers give up is massively valued and highly appreciated. It all makes a difference. If anyone else is interested in helping, please call in to the school office.
