15th November 2024

Dear Parents and carers,

Well done everyone for being part of our friendship week this week. Eco-council were being good friends to the school in particular, with looking after our school litter.

We have sent a few communications out this week (apologies for the overload) but could you please check you have received a letter about the school pantomime. If not, please call in to the School office.

You should also by now have received your child’s photograph proof.  In order to receive free delivery to school, please order online by Thursday 21st November.

There is one more night of the book fair on Monday 18th November from 3:30pm to 4:00pm.

Last year, Year 4 planted some trees at school and - having cared for them here - are now rehoming them in the woods on Monday.

Year 6 are off to the Steam Museum on Thursday, which I know they are looking forward to.

This week also marked the first Christmas Carols being practiced in the hall. Clatford children never fail to impress me with their singing, which is always a highlight of our busy week.

Children were sent home last week with a Christingle candle donation box. Please can they be returned to the school office by Friday 29th November. We appreciate your kind donations.  Can I ask you to return the boxes even if they are empty.

Flu vaccinations will take place on Tuesday 26th November in school.  A reminder has been sent with the link. If you have not yet submitted your form, please do so by Friday 22nd November at 9am.  Please can we ask you to complete the form for each child even if you do not want them to have the vaccine.

Please see the attached poster from the PTA. I know lots of children are looking forward to showing off their dance moves at the disco on Thursday.

May peace be with you,

Mr M Kirk
