Creative Week 2016

Last week Clatford had their fantastic creative week! Christopher Columbus (our school's very own curiosity cat) went on an exciting adventure throughout the week, visiting a whole range of exciting habitats including spiders in Year 4 and worms in Year 1. Holly Webb came to visit on the Monday and shared some fascinating secrets about how to get inspiration for our writing. In Year 5 we had some eggs which, by Wednesday, had started to hatch into 10 fluffy chicks, chirping happily in their new home. We even caught one on video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gutC-8BWGdo) just coming out of it's shell. Friday saw the whole school coming in as their favourite book characters and the children looked stunning as they took on their new roles with enthusiasm as they celebrated the end of a busy week.

At the end of the week, and after creating an e-book that told us about all of his fantastic adventures, Christopher came back from from his journey filled with excitement from all he had found out about the different habitats. I think the children managed to learn a lot too!
