Introducing our vegetable garden!
KS2 have been very keen to start growing vegetables in school. They have been thinking about sustainability and how we, as a school, could improve. They decided that they would love to grow some of their own snacks. So... with the help of Houghton Fishing Club, who so kindly donated the wood and their time, the new bed was created. The new gardening club has planted a variety of seeds including beetroot, pak choi, tomatoes, cucumbers and radishes. At the moment these are germinating in our green house, and hopefully very soon the rest of the school will be able to enjoy freshly grown school produce at breaktimes!
