Osmington Bay
Good morning all!
Day 1 - Year 6 Blog ( minus the required technology and access to internet- hence improvisation!)
We’ve had a great first day! The coach journey was good and we all sang and loved chatting to our friends.
We arrived on site to some very strange weather! Whilst it was warm, there were strange cold patches as we entered the mist that was rolling in from the see. It soon became a beautiful sunny day- perfect for buggy building and a beach walk!
Buggy building was great fun and we had a chance to race down the hill on what we had made- even Mrs L had a ride! Some of our buggies weren’t meant to last however, and a few adjustments were needed!
The beach was beautiful! We learnt about the tales of saved soldiers and pirates! Looked for treasure and found fossils- we were thrilled to find actual footprints. Don’t worry, we have our body weight in pebbles to bring back and show you!
Our meal was Spaghetti bolognaise or pork casserole- which we devoured in seconds!
The evening was filled with wacky races! With team games to form our team songs, (very creative videos to follow) making the longest line, mummifying our friends in loo roll and generally just having fun.
This hyped us up, ready for bed! Luckily we have the latest breakfast spot, so we can stay in bed to catch up on some well needed sleep!
Looking forward to the day ahead! Keelboat sailing, zip wire and giant swing!
