We have started our new term and year here at Clatford School and everyone has made a great start in their new classes. There has been learning going on about Scottish islands and the United Kingdom, journeys, the creation of the world and the Stone Age. Every class took part in our Harvest festival and we are exploring our value of Love and what it means to us.
We are the new Clatford Primary School Council made up of representatives from Year 1 to Year Six. We were elected by our classmates to follow on the good work of the team last year and help develop our school. Year R will be joining us soon. So far, we have thought about all the special things about our school like our values and how we are a great community and now we would like to work on planning a citizenship week, making our school tidier, healthier and thinking of the environment. This includes being part of some charity and sporting events throughout the year.
Our school now has a lovely spiritual garden area which we are adding to, to make it a special reflective place to help our spiritual journeys. A lot to look forward to! So much learning and great experiences going on at school that we will have lots more to tell everyone next time.
