12th September 2025
Dear Parents and carers,
As I write this, I have just come from our Year R classroom, where children have been making a fantastic start on all of their activities there. Our new Year 6s have now all been introduced to their Year R buddies and are helping in making sure the children have a brilliant start.
Hello Yellow and Parents Evenings
On the 10th of October we hold our ‘Hello Yellow’ day, where children may come to school wearing a yellow accessory. For example: in the past children have come with yellow socks or yellow hairbands. This is a Young Minds event to mark World Mental Health Day.

Parents evenings this term will be on 14th and 16th October. More details and booking information will follow, but please add these to your diary.
Celebration Worships
We are starting our celebration worships today, where some pupils are chosen for certificates to celebrate how well they have been showing our school values, or how well they have been doing with their learning. If your child gets a certificate, you will usually receive an email on the Thursday to let you know and invite you to join us if you are free to do so.
Nuts in School
Following an allergic reaction in school yesterday, could I remind everyone that we are a completely nut free school. We have several pupils and members of staff who are allergic to nuts and for them it can be a matter of life or death.
The next few weeks in school
A team from the church community called ‘Open the Book’ will be in school next week on Tuesday afternoon. They come at regular intervals throughout the year, giving up their time to share Christian stories with the children.
PTA
The PTA AGM is on the 23rd September at 3:30pm, so please do join us after school for that. Everyone is very welcome.
Wishing you all a peaceful and happy weekend,
Mr M Kirk
