  • Queen's Funeral School Closure

    Tue 13 Sep 2022 M Kirk

    Dear Parents,

Thank you all so much for your last minute uniform changes on Friday, they were really appreciated.  We really managed to make a rainbow. I know that you will have heard it on the news, but I would like to officially let you know that Monday the 19th of September is a bank holiday and as such the school will be closed. In worship this week I have shared the following quote with the children. As we remember the Queen this week I have been sharing one of her quotes with the children that I would like to share with you all:

'I cannot lead you into battle. I do not give you laws or administer justice. But I can do something else. I can give you my heart and my devotion to these old islands and to all the peoples of our brotherhood of nations.'

  • Jubilee Picnic

    Fri 27 May 2022 M Kirk

Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for our jubilee picnic. You made it a really special event for all of the children. It felt wonderful to have so many of us together in one place again. Wishing you all a fantastic half term.

  • Easter Journey

    Thu 07 Apr 2022 M Kirk

Yesterday, the children broke off into mixed-class groupings to walk through the Easter story. We considered different concepts along the way that were related to the children's own lives and said some prayers for those lonely, sad or in need. We finished our journey at the St. Peters church, where the children learned about the resurrection.

The heavens did open up at one point, to the stage that several of the groups who attended were joined by two ducks, who stayed perfectly still and seemed to be contemplating the Easter story along with the rest of us. Or at least, that's what I like to think.

  • Thank you Eco-Council

    Tue 05 Apr 2022 M Kirk

Having met with eco-council this year, one of the things they felt most worried about in our school was the amount of waste we produce and where it goes. Particularly with the lack of recycling bins in the school playground. As a result, we have upgraded some bins, and purchased others, to make it clear to everyone how to organise our rubbish and ensure the maximum amount of rubbish can be recycled.

I know eco-council still have a lot on their list, so there is still much work to be done on that score! For now though, here is the new bin, which was a direct result of their articulate campaigning to me this year.
