3rd October 2025
Dear Parents and carers,
This week we have welcomed Ms. Eadsforth into school as she visited Year 3 to start to get to know them before Mrs Woodman goes on maternity leave. We also had the pleasure of a drama group who came in to work with Years R and 1. The children had so much fun and we heard lots of laughter from the hall. Year R are continuing to settle in as they work on their gross motor skills to get them all ready for writing.
Parents Evening
If you haven’t booked a slot for parents evening yet, please ring in and do so. We know that the electronic system failed us this year but we are still keen to see everyone to let you all know how your children have settled into school.
Mud
The outside areas are getting muddier and muddier at the moment and as a result there are some occasions when we cannot let children on the field. After half-term, if your child has a pair of trainers that you don’t mind getting muddy and they bring them in a carrier bag to school, we are happy to let them on the field despite the mud. We would love it if as many of you as possible manage this so we can keep using the field well into the winter. As always please make sure these are all named.
Hello Yellow and Harvest
Next week is Harvest on Tuesday and Hello Yellow day on Friday. I hope you have received and read the previous communications regarding these but I wanted to remind you that if you would like, we will be accepting donations for the foodbank on Wednesday and your child can choose to wear some splashes of yellow on the Friday. I am looking forward to sharing some pictures of our colourful classes.
Inset day
Just a reminder that there is an inset day later this month, Monday 20th October.
Hoping you all have a happy and restful weekend.
Mr M Kirk
