Calling Malaysia

Congratulations to Year 5 this morning who completed their mystery hangout. At 10am they found themselves talking to a group of children from very far away and using only yes/no questions they had the challenge of ascertaining which country, town and school they were from. An hour later both schools had identified each other, although our Malaysian counterparts did so slightly more quickly than us!.Children used globes, atlases, clues (colours of logos and a partial flag in the background) and Google Maps to narrow down the location with their careful questions.

The experience was exciting and awe-inspiring as our distant counterparts exchanged ideas and questions. We are planning on staying in contact and finding out even more about each other over the coming weeks.
