Outdoor Classroom Day
Wed 29 May 2019Thursday 23rd May was a wonderful day. The sun was shining and the whole school decamped at stages throughout the day to learn outside. This is happening more and more as we develop our outside area. The children and staff love it, as inhibitions are lost and the fresh air works its magic. Year 6 residential photos to follow! -
Social Media and Mental Health
Fri 17 May 2019This month National Online Safety produced some new documents about how to consider looking after children's mental health whilst online. You can find the guidance on our website at the link below or just navigate to our Online Safety section of the website which can be found on the parents tab.
Just a reminder as well that if any children have any worries about things they have seen online then they can come and find any adult in school to talk to about it or, if they'd rather, speak to one of our child e-safety officers.

Our work at the National Gallery
Thu 09 May 2019We were so proud to have been invited to the National Gallery to view the opening of Take one Picture exhibition. The whole school worked so hard last year on examining Joseph Wright's painting, 'Experiment with an air pump.' Schools all over the country submitted work to the National Gallery, and we were delighted that a selection of our work was chosen for display. On Wednesday, Miss Rice and myself travelled up to see the fabulous exhibition, and we were not disappointed. If you are able to travel to London, the display will be open to the public, for free until the end of August. It really is something special to see our school's name and work displayed at the prestigious National Gallery. Well done to the whole school....we are extremely proud. -
Year Five Football Festival
Sat 04 May 2019On Wednesday this week I had the pleasure of taking 8 Year Five girls to our first football festival, ran by Test Valley Games! It was a great afternoon and the girls played against many local schools. Despite not being placed, the girls showed great spirit and sportsmanship and did not stop smiling!! The girls showed the school values of love, respect and belief, on and off the pitch and were a real credit to the school.

A day out at the Fish Farm
Thu 02 May 2019Year 4 have had a wonderful day out at a local fish farm. Discovering how fish are farmed, how they are released into the river, understanding pheasant farming and even how to gut a fish! They were truly fabulous. I was so proud of the way that respected the world around them. They were rewarded with a beautiful selection of birds from herons, to cuckoos, buzzards and even a pair of gadwalls, all enjoy the Spring sunshine. What a wonderful day!
