  • Christingle services

    Sun 13 Dec 2020 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins
Christingle services looked slightly different this year, as we could not all enjoy the service together.  However, all classes joined Reverend Katrina online for a worship before splitting into our individual classes to make and remember the importance of the Christingle. It was beautiful to hear singing from the hall and listen to the children's thought provoking prayers and wishes.  Even though we were not all together, the feeling of love, respect and belief permeated through the school.
  • Internet Safety

    Dear Parents,

As Christmas approaches a lot of the children will be getting excited about new video games under the tree and maybe more time to play them. I have had a few communications recently with guides that some of you may find useful if your child is accessing any of the following games:

Among Us (A trending game of 2020)

    Roblox (An old favourite)

    https://parentzone.org.uk/article/roblox-parents%E2%80%99-guide-%E2%80%93-what-it-and-it-safe-your-child

There is also an interesting article on the same website about digital currency and advertising within children's games and media:

Last year we had a great turnout for our Internet Safety Workshop, where the e-safety council wowed us with their knowledge and engaged us with interesting conversation starters, I am hoping to run another one in the Spring which will be online using Google Meets. I hope that many of you can make it.

As always there are plenty of resources to support with internet safety on the school website, but if you ever need help with any online safety issues not mentioned there, then please email the school and I will see what I can do to support.

Wishing you a safe and happy Christmas,

    Mr. Kirk

  • Tree planting, litter picking, bridge making!

    Sat 05 Dec 2020 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins

What an exciting couple of weeks it has been in school. We are so proud of our children and how they are adapting to the changes in school.  Key stage 2 has been incredibly busy...thinking about how we can continue to work with our community.  Beautiful cards have been created by years 5 and 6 to thank our community for all of their generosity.  Year 4 have been out and about, working with the parish council to plant trees around the old pump house....just fabulous! Year 5 have also been designing and building bridges to symbolise those important links.  Some amazing design and problem solving skills, without doubt some aspiring engineers here!

To top it all off, our wonderful Eco Warriors in each class have created a rota to ensure the school grounds are free of litter ...Year 5 did a fabulous job this week. x
