  • A Message from National Online Safety

    Wed 18 Dec 2019 M Kirk

As you know, we work with National Online Safety to keep children safe online in school and this Christmas, as well as continuing to produce their guides on a range of e-safety topic, they have produced a song with a Christmas message that, at the very least, might bring a smile when you watch it.

This is the message they sent me:

"We’ve once again teamed up with the incredibly talented Dan and Sam from ‘Musicalternative’ for an uplifting song about putting down our phones, and spending more time with our family this #Christmas . So sit back, listen, share and enjoy! Christmas is an exciting time, with a whole lot going on in the world, so it’s all too easy to let our fascination with the online world distract us from what’s really important – spending time with our families.

National Online Safety are here to provide parents with advice and support (and hopefully a few laughs) with a new song for parents all about not spending Christmas glued to our phones! So, Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! And as always, stay safe online."

  • Enterprise Week culminating in the Christmas Fair

    Mon 16 Dec 2019 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins
Key Stage two have really enjoyed setting themselves up as businesses this week to prove that they can manage a budget, design, create and sell a  marketable object and run a stall; dealing with customers and money.  They did all of these fantastically...even managing to earn a profit that they are now deliberating over, to spend in their classrooms. Great job team Clatford!
  • E-Safety Information Presentation

    Mon 02 Dec 2019 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins
Thank you so much to the E-safety council for thier presentation this evening.  Following on from the results of the survey that they had sent home, and the survey they had completed with pupils in the school, the team worked hard to create a presentation for parents on e-safety matters that they felt parents needed to be informed about. It was lovely to see such a great turn out, and we hope that those who came will be able to guide others in the direction of new and relevant information on our website.
