  • Football superstars!

    Thu 20 Jun 2019 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins
Massive congratulations to the boy's football team, who romped their way to victory this afternoon at the inter-schools football competition. The nine year 5 and 6 boys represented the school beautifully, showing true sportsmanship, politeness and Clatford values.  They won all of their games, only letting 2 goals pass them all afternoon.  What a team...great job boys!

  • Miss Bridgman Braves the Chop for Charity

Sun 09 Jun 2019 Miss Bridgman

Many of you may have noticed that over half term I changed my hair style! Not only is it a different colour it’s 16 inches shorter!

I decided about a year ago that I was going to donate my hair to the Little Princess Trust. The Little Princess Trust provides free real hair wigs to children and young people, up to 24 years, who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other conditions. The work that they do to help children feel and look their best through an awful time in their life is truest commendable. I wanted to do my bit and help in any way I could.

I set my date, picked my hairdresser, told my close friends and family and then braved the chop!

I donated 14 inches of hair which will be used to make a wig and raised £100 in cash donations!

If you’re feeling brave like me and want to donate your hair, or you have already done so. Come and talk to me!!

  • The garden is growing...

    Fri 07 Jun 2019 Mrs Oliver-Hawkins
As we head towards the last month or so of the term, things are getting really busy in the garden.  The last seedlings are ready to leave the greenhouse, and the first crops are getting ready to harvest.  The lovely gardening club have worked hard, watering and weeding, as well as ensuring the composters get fed and watered.  There has even been snail and worm houses made...every one of God's creatures looked after xxx
  • Wizarding Week

    Sun 02 Jun 2019 M Kirk

A big wizarding well done to all of KS2 who recently took part in a wizarding week, in their bid to become accepted at Hogwarts. Over the week they wrote applications; made wands; played quidditch; visited Harry Potter studios; met wizards; made potions; learned about wizard coins and muggle money; cast spells and created guides to the wizarding world. A busy but magical week, inspiring some exciting writing from the children.
