• Planting starts!

  With the beautiful sunshine and the last few days of the Spring term, it was time to get started on planting up the garden.  Seeds are germinating in the classrooms ready to be planted out in the Summer term.  Meanwhile brassicas and onions were planted today, along with a few surprises! Year four also finished off the term with a very healthy bug count in our forest school area.  This is great news - 110 worms were counted...fabulous!

  

• Easter Services

  This week the school managed to welcome nearly 60 families to our KS2 Easter Service, this year held over zoom. Despite a few technical setbacks the children said afterwards that it had been great to see all of their families supporting them live. Each class in KS2 told part of the Easter story through art, music, drama, photographs and storytelling. It was a lovely service and we thank all of the families who were able to join us. We are now looking forward to Thursday, when KS1 will share their Easter service later this week. 

   

  

• Eco-Council

  The last few weeks have been busy for the school Eco-Council and they made sure they began the 'return to school' the way they meant to go on. This week they have organised daily litter picks among their members in different year groups and have been spreading the word about recycling in each of the classes. A tremendous start!
